Workspaces
What a workspace is, who belongs to one, and how it differs from personal work.
A workspace is a shared space for a team. It holds its own projects, its own members, and a set of roles that decide who can do what.
What a workspace holds
- Projects that belong to the workspace, not to any one person
- Members, each with a role
- Folders, for grouping projects
- Time tracking, with timesheets and reports
- A dashboard of team metrics, for Owners and Admins
Personal and workspace, side by side
Every account has a Personal context. Belonging to a workspace adds a second context; it does not replace the first.
- Your personal projects are invisible to the workspace.
- Workspace projects are invisible from Personal.
- Your Career Vault is always personal.

Roles
Three live roles:

|---|---|
| Owner | Full control, including billing and seats |
| Admin | Runs the workspace day to day |
| VA / Team Member | Works on the projects they are assigned to |

Seats
Every member occupies one paid seat, and every paid seat includes Pro for that person's own personal account. See Agency seats and Sponsored Pro.
Belonging to more than one
You can be a member of several workspaces at once, say if you contract for two agencies. Each appears in the switcher with your role beside it, and they stay completely separate.
