Choosing
Stay on Free if you have three or fewer projects, keep under 50 active tasks, and share with at most 1 collaborator.
Move to Pro if you have hit the project or task limit, you want to publish a Career Profile, you want the Calendar view, you want folders to group your projects, or you need to share with up to 5 people.
Move to Agency if you are running a team, you need roles rather than per-project sharing, or you need to track hours.
Two things people get wrong
Time tracking is Agency only. It is not part of Pro. It becomes available inside an eligible Agency workspace. See Time tracking.
Career Vault is on every plan. Only publishing a Career Profile needs Pro. Free accounts can store everything and build a profile; they just cannot make it public.
Agency seats
Agency is per seat, and every workspace role occupies a paid seat. There is no free guest role. See Agency seats.
Each paid seat includes Pro on that person's own personal account. See Sponsored Pro.

Annual saves 20% on both paid plans:
