Integrations
What VA To-Do connects to today, and what is still being built.
This page lists what VA To-Do connects to. It is deliberately short, and only covers things that work today.
Available now
Google Calendar
See your Google Calendar events alongside your tasks. The sync is read-only: VA To-Do never creates, edits, or deletes anything in your Google Calendar.
To connect, open Settings → Integrations, select Google Calendar, then Connect, and approve access with Google. Your events appear right away.
Once connected:
- Events show as colored chips in the Calendar view,
and upcoming events are listed in the List and Board views. Those lists only show events that have not finished yet, and a recurring event appears once, marked Recurring, showing its next occurrence. The Calendar view still shows every occurrence on its day.
- Select an event to see its time, location, meeting link, and attendees, with
a link to open it in Google Calendar.
- Every calendar you can see in Google syncs by default. Turn individual
calendars off in Settings → Integrations → Google Calendar to hide their events.
- The Google button in the calendar header hides or shows all Google events
at once, and the choice is remembered on that device.
- Reminders appear in the app as an event approaches: a day, an hour, and ten
minutes before it starts.
Events sync automatically in the background and when you open the calendar. Sync now in Settings → Integrations → Google Calendar pulls the latest immediately.
Your events are private to you. Nobody in any workspace you belong to can see them, and they never appear on shared projects.
VA To-Do's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Your calendar data is never used to train AI models and is never shared with AI providers. The full disclosure is in the Privacy Policy.
To disconnect, open Settings → Integrations → Google Calendar and select Disconnect. All synced events are removed from VA To-Do.
If you move to the Free plan while connected, syncing pauses and your Google events are hidden until you upgrade again. Disconnecting stays available on every plan, and removes all synced data.
Google sign-in
Sign in with a Google account instead of an email and password.
Select Continue with Google on the sign-in or sign-up screen. If you created your account this way, keep using it, since there is no password on the account.
Your Google profile picture is used until you upload your own. See Your profile.
VA To-Do emails you for the things that need to reach you outside the app:
- Account verification when you sign up
- Password resets
- Invitations to a workspace or a shared project
Nothing to configure. If an email has not arrived, see Invitation problems.
Not available yet
Chrome extension
A browser side panel for adding tasks without leaving the tab you are on. Marked coming soon throughout the app and not yet released.
Not currently offered
There is no public API, no Zapier or Make app, and no Slack integration today. If one of those would make a real difference to your work, tell us at support@vato-do.com or through Feedback in the sidebar. What people actually ask for is what gets built.
Working alongside other tools
Until deeper integrations arrive, the usual approach is:
- Keep VA To-Do as the source of truth for tasks and deadlines
- Use recurring tasks for anything you would
otherwise automate a reminder for
- Use time reports as the input to whatever you
invoice with
