Time reports
Break tracked hours down by project, member, and period.
Reports turn raw entries into the numbers you actually need: hours per client, hours per person, hours this week.
Open reports
Inside a workspace, select Time tracker or My time in the sidebar, then the Reports tab.
What you can see
Everyone sees a breakdown of their own tracked time.
Owners and Admins additionally see the whole team's, which is what makes it useful for invoicing and for spotting an uneven workload.
Break it down
- By project: how much went to each client. This is the invoicing view.
- By member: who spent time where, for Owners and Admins.
- By day: where the week actually went.
Filter to a single project to answer one client's question without wading through the rest.
Change the period
Use the date range control for this week, this month, or a specific range, for example a billing period.
Using reports for invoicing
- Open Reports.
- Set the range to your billing period.
- Filter to the client's project.
- Read off the total.
Because member entries are read-only once saved, the number you are reading has not been quietly adjusted after the work was done. See Team timesheets.
For amounts rather than hours, use the Billable hours tab, which applies each entry's stored rate and tracks approval and invoicing status.
The team dashboard
Owners and Admins also get a Dashboard in the sidebar with workload, activity, and project metrics alongside time. Reports are the detail; the dashboard is the overview.
