Personal projects
Projects you own, and how sharing them works.
A personal project belongs to you. It is created in your Personal context, it stays with your account, and no workspace can claim it.
Personal projects are available on every plan.
Private by default
A new personal project is visible only to you. Nothing is shared until you share it.
Sharing one
You can invite people to a specific personal project and choose what each of them may do. They see only that project, never your other projects, and never your Career Vault.
Three permission levels:

| Tasks only | Add and edit tasks, but not change the project itself |
| View + complete | See tasks and mark them complete |

How many people
Your plan limits the number of unique people across all your personal projects, not per project. Sharing three projects with the same person counts as one.

What personal projects do not do
- No time tracking. Hours are recorded against workspace projects only. A
personal project works normally in every other respect; it simply has no timer.
- No roles. Access is set per person, per project, rather than by a role that
applies across a set of projects.
Grouping them
On Pro and above you can put your projects into folders in the sidebar, and your folders are private to you even when the project inside is shared. On Free, use favourites and drag ordering. See Group projects into folders.
If you later join or create a workspace
Your personal projects stay personal. They do not move into the workspace, are not visible to its members, and are unaffected by your role there.
If you want work to live in the workspace, create it there. See Workspace projects.
