Edit, archive, and delete a project
Rename a project, change its colour, and understand what deleting removes.
Before you begin
You need to be the project's owner, a collaborator with Full access, or an Owner, Admin, or Manager in the workspace that holds it. See Project permissions.
Rename a project
- Hover over the project in the sidebar.
- Select the … menu.
- Select Rename.
- Type the new name and press Enter.
Renaming changes the project's web address. Old links to it stop resolving, so if you have shared a link, send the new one.
Change the colour
- Open the project's … menu.
- Select a colour.
The change is immediate and visible to everyone with access.
Pin and unpin
Open the … menu and select Add to favourites, or Remove from favourites on a pinned project.
Move a project into a folder
Drag the project onto a folder in the sidebar, or use Move to folder in its … menu. Drag it back out to the main list to unfile it. See Group projects into folders.
Delete a project
- Open the project's … menu.
- Select Delete.
- Read the confirmation and select Delete again.
Any time already tracked against a workspace project remains in your agency's timesheets and reports, deleting a project does not erase recorded hours.
Archiving
There is no separate archive state for projects. If you want to keep a finished project's history without it cluttering the sidebar, leave it in place and unpin it, completed tasks do not count toward your active-task limit.
Leaving a project someone shared with you
If a project was shared with you and you no longer want it, open its … menu and select Leave project. It disappears from your sidebar. The owner keeps it, and can share it with you again later.
