Theme colors

A theme color changes the palette of the whole app. It is independent of appearance, and every color has both a light and a dark variant.

The five themes

Default

The warm coral and cream palette VA To-Do ships with. Available on every plan.

Purple

A violet palette. Light on a near-white background, lavender on near-black in dark mode.

Ocean Blue

A cool blue palette, the crispest of the five.

Emerald

A green palette, the calmest of the five.

Aurora

A frosted, translucent look rather than just a new set of colors. Surfaces such as the sidebar, cards, menus, and dialogs become soft glass over diffused blue, violet, and teal light, like frosted panels in front of the northern lights. It has a light and a dark variant like every other theme, and its settings card previews the frosted glass interface itself.

Aurora is the most demanding theme visually. On browsers or devices that cannot render the frosted blur, and for anyone whose device asks for reduced transparency, surfaces become more solid so everything stays readable.

Change your theme color

1. Go to Settings → Theme.
2. Under Theme Color, choose a theme.
3. It applies immediately.

Each card shows a small preview of the interface in that theme's colors, so you can see what you are picking before you commit. The preview follows your current appearance, light or dark.

Combining with appearance

Any theme color works with any appearance:

• Light + Default
• Dark + Purple
• System + Ocean Blue
• Dark + Emerald
• System + Aurora

Choose the appearance for the room you are in and the color for taste.

If your plan changes

Choose a premium theme again as soon as you are back on Pro. Nothing else about your setup is affected.
