Appearance: light, dark, and system
Choose light mode, dark mode, or follow your device.
Appearance controls light or dark. It is available on every plan.
The three options
Light keeps the interface light whatever your device is doing.
Dark keeps it dark, whatever your device is doing.
System follows your operating system, so it changes with your device's own light and dark schedule.
Change it
- Go to Settings → Theme.
- Under Appearance, choose Light, Dark, or System.
It applies immediately.
The quick toggle
- Select your account row at the bottom of the sidebar.
- Select Dark mode, or Light mode if you are already dark.
Appearance is not theme color
They are separate. Switching to Dark keeps whatever theme color you chose, and every theme color has a dark variant designed for it. See Theme colors.
Stored per browser
Your choice is saved in the browser you set it in, and applied before the page paints so there is no flash of light before dark loads.
Sign in somewhere else and that browser starts on the default until you set it there.

The marketing pages are always light. Your appearance choice applies to the app and to this documentation.
